Digital Signage with TV and Live Video Feeds

Many waiting rooms in doctor offices and auto dealerships have TVs. People have nothing to do but staring at the screen most of the time. How to turn that TV into a multifunction display to better communicate with the customers as well as entertain them?

This is where a digital signage solution comes in. Many digital signage solutions can partition the a screen into 2 or more windows. One for TV and the others for multimedia messaging.

  • The messaging windows can be used for posting educational content, new policy or event announcement, your own promotional video, local weather forecast, traffic, news and sponsor advertisements.
  • The TV window can function the same as a regular TV. If you prefer the TV channels to be switched to certain stations at certain hours, channel settings can be pre-scheduled. In some cases, you may feed live video from your camera to the TV window.

A digital signage screen with integrated TV, live video feeds, up-to-date news, weather, traffic information plus other localized content can be an effective replacement to many traditional TV screens in waiting rooms and other retail locations.
